Wanted you all to be the first to know that we are offering a drum making workshop at the end of Sept. Pricing is TBD but we should know more on Monday 7/20.
The first payment is usually in the $100-200 range but the second payment isnt due until closer to the event. More to come!
How a Shaman Uses Their Drum:
A shaman's drum is more than just a musical instrument; it is a spiritual tool used to access the non-ordinary reality (NOR). The rhythmic beat of the drum guides the shaman into altered states of consciousness. This trance-like state allows them to transcend the ordinary world and journey into the spirit realm, where they can seek guidance, healing, or knowledge from spirit allies, ancestors, or deities. The drum's vibration is believed to resonate with the energetic frequencies of the universe, facilitating the shaman's connection and enabling them to perform their sacred duties.
At the Chacana Spiritual Center we often use the drum and the rattle interchangeably, although not all the time. We use it for shamanic healings, journey work, soul retrieval, opening and closing sacred space, sound healing sessions, clearing energy, power animal retrieval, calling in spirits, and much more! While a drum isn’t required, many of us enjoy using it as one of our sacred tools.
